Have stayed before and was satisfied with my experience given the low cost. This time my expectations were more than met as the hotel had been renovated and the costs remained the same. Wholly satisfied and a very good budget cost hotel.
Lift is slow and old. Breakfast is poor quality.
The location was perfect for traveling to places of interest in London.
The Breakfast needs improving and also the chamber maid we had was not very good.
When we arrived there, they told us that they hadn't any reservation for us! Finally they gave us a room, even they were saying that it was fully booked. The room was in the basement (entry was from outside), and the stairs to get there were so dirty (spider's web...) The service was horrible: they made the beds very bad, even my niece of 1 year could do it better. The breakfast very poor.
Its closeness to the underground
I did not like the location of our room (room 5) it was downstairs with no light outside the room . I booked a twin room and we were given a room with a double bed and a camp bed . there was an adjoining door to another guests bathroom . The carpet is filthy. Two plug sockets did not work .view from window disgusting. Breakfast very basic and poor.
The hotel was near to Paddington station and the shower was hot.
The window was very hard to shut to reduce the traffic noise, Breakfast was very basic and the room was small.
I enjoyed the location a great deal. Paddington Station is one minute away. The room was what I expected for what I paid. Linens were clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I dropped off luggage early.
The only gripe is the floor in the room was worn and appeared unclean.
location to underground station
eating reakfast in dowdy basement.having to wait ages to use a broken toaster.
I have to give some credits to the hotel for accepting me to pay cash when my credit card didn't work and keeping my reservation in a time when it was very difficult to find a hotel in London.
What I didn't like is that the room was very small with small bed, it wasn't exactly the same as shown in the photos when I booked the hotel, and toilet was not flushing perfectly and I had to troubleshoot for sometime to make it work, in addition; the room I've been giving was in the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of order. However they did offer me double room on the 1st floor in the price of single one, but it was too late and I already booked different place and I didn't finish the 4 days I have booked.
the location of the hotel is really good! Within minutes walk to tube stations lancaster gate and paddington, and Hyde park. Comming from Victoria station, it is an easy 20 minute walk through Hyde park. The hotel can use some refurbishent, but nothing its still alright. The room was quite small, but has everything you need, very clean, a nice bed and digital tv. Little noise from the road outside, but not disturbing. Breakfast was very simple, but still alright. Breakfast room basic furnished, and you are supposed to have left at 9.30. Good value for money, great location!
very simple breakfast (serverd only 7.30 - 9.30), clean up under your nose at 9.30.
The hotel's location is very good. Near Paddington Tube station. Located in a quiet and nice area.Breakfast was good. The overall impression quite ok for the money.
The level of service from the reception staff could be better. The shower was very poor due to poor water pressure. We stayed on the 5th floor.
The location is unbeatable- central to Paddington Station and Tube which puts all of London within easy reach. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Shower had lots of hot water. Lift was an added bonus. Room size was fine, I've certainly had smaller. All in all it was a decent room for a short stay - I had no complaints.
Bed was hard and small - I'm only 5'6" and it was just long enough.
Although room was small it was comfortable clean warm and had everything we needed.
Value for money: no way!!!!!!!!!!!! (Too expensive for no reason), the room and the bedsheets were not clean enough (hair of sbd else on towels, floor, everywhere!), The elevator was out of order on our departure (too much to carry!) very poor breakfast, no good sound- isolation:noisy!
It was extremely cold in the room - so I had to cover myself additionally with my coat. Temperature in bathroom was nearly like outside +5C so no way to tak a shower! This hotel good for summer Only.
The hotel was very convenient if using paddington station,on approaching the hotel it looked pleasant from the outside and was situated in a nice area. The inside was clean but a little tired, the staircase carpet was dangerous on the 3rd floor, having said all that the bedroom and en suite bathroom was comfortable and very clean. The hotel only offered a simple continental breakfast, but for those wishing to have a more hearty breakfast the pub on the corner of silver st was exellent.
The hotel was not close enough to theatre land.
